Simple recording guide
Kachips does not require a professional studio. We only need clear audio and readable video. A mobile phone is fine.
1. What you need
- Smartphone or laptop with a camera
- Quiet room (fan/AC noise as low as possible)
- Optional but recommended: a simple USB / lapel mic (any basic mic that improves voice clarity is enough)
- Good light on your face or on the screen you explain
2. How to record
- Write a short outline for the lecture (5–15 minutes is ideal per video).
- Place the phone on a stable surface (or use a small tripod).
- Speak slowly and clearly. Pause between important points.
- If showing slides or code, zoom so text is readable on a phone screen.
- Record in landscape mode when possible.
3. Upload to YouTube (Unlisted)
- Upload the video to your YouTube channel.
- Set visibility to Unlisted (not Public, not Private). Students with the link can watch; it stays off public search if you prefer.
- Copy the video link.
- Paste the link into the Kachips course builder for that lecture.
4. Quality checklist before submit
- Voice is understandable without headphones struggle
- No long silence or empty sections
- Screen text is readable
- No copyrighted music or stolen third-party course content
- One clear topic per lecture
